A Beaumont man has been indicted for murder. 28-year old Calvin Holman is accused of
the December shooting of 63-year old Raymond Weatherly. The shooting occurred at the
victim’s home in the 5300 block of Oriole in Beaumont. Prior to being transported to jail,
Holman told KLVI news the shooting was self defense and stemmed from an argument over
a pool table.
A Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for murder. 20-year old
Seth Joachim Haynes is accused of the January 14th death of 23-year old Alex Frederick
Straway, whose body was found in a burning vehicle in the 3300 block of McHale Street
in Beaumont. The investigation revealed Straway had been shot at the intersection of
Donna and Avie Lane. He was then driven to the 3300 block of McHale where the car was
set on fire.
