A man is jailed after smashing his car into a Beaumont police unit Saturday night. The
officer was working an accident in the 7900 block of Walden Road when the driver of
a pickup collided with the unoccupied police unit. The driver was found to be intoxicated.
43-year old Joseph Boudreaux, of Beaumont, was arrested on a DWI charge. There were
no injuries.
