A Port Neches man is jailed on drug charges. The Jefferson County Narcotics Task force with
the assistance of the U.S. Postal Inspector conducted an investigation on a package believed
to contain synthetic drugs to be delivered to a home in Port Neches. Deputies went to a home
and after receiving consent to search they found the package with synthetic drugs valued at
$35,000. The package was ordered from China. Lanay Holmes was arrested and charged with
possession of a controlled substance.
