A wreck in Hardin County has claimed the life of a 22-year old Kountze woman. The
DPS reports the victim, whose name has not been released, was traveling eastbound on
FM 421, about five miles west of Highway 69, when her car was struck by an eastbound
car that had a blowout and veered into her lane. She was airlifted to UTMB in Galveston
where she died. The driver of the car that had the blowout, 19-year old Kyle Wise, of
Lumberton, and a teenage passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life
threatening injuries.
