A man is jailed following an aggravated robbery in Beaumont. The victim told police she was
robbed at gunpoint yesterday morning by an acquaintance in the 1100 block of McFaddin. The
suspect fled on foot when police arrived. With the assistance of a K-9 unit, the suspect, 51-year
old Malcolm Renee Ross was found hiding under concrete stairs in the 1300 block of Long.
Ross has been charged with aggravated robbery, evading arrest, and he has over $6,000 worth
of city of Beaumont warrants. Following his arrest, Ross gave the victim back her money.
