The Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force went to the Palm Apartments in the 800 block of
Ridgewood in Port Neches to investigate a complaint of possible narcotics activity. While
talking to a resident of the suspected apartment, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana.
Once inside, the found 2 ½ pounds of Hydro marijuana packaged for distribution, approximately
120 grams of liquid promethazine, and 40 pills of ecstasy. A loaded pistol and a loaded AK-47
assault rifle was also found along with a large ammo drum magazine. 21-year old Eric Hernandez,
21-year old Anthony Gants, and 25-year old Jerry McDaniel were all arrested.
