A man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. 40-year old John Toran was arrested in April of
last year after a routine traffic stop in Beaumont revealed 34 grams of cocaine hidden in his car.
Toran was convicted of possession of a controlled substance. Because of a previous drug
convictions Toran could of received of up to 99 years. He was sentenced yesterday by State
District Judge Larry Gist, of the drug impact court.
