A 30-year old Beaumont man is jailed accused of robbing the Jack in the Box on Washington
Blvd. The robber pulled up to the drive window yesterday morning, pointed a gun at the worker
demanding money. His vehicle was located a short time later in a parking lot less than a block
from where the robbery occurred. A gun and cash were found in his car. Ronald Johnson was
transported to jail and charged with aggravated robbery.
No major damage has been reported here in southeast Texas. Some downed trees and
power outages reported in areas of Jefferson County.
