A San Antonio woman was arrested on Saturday for attempting to smuggling drugs into the
federal complex in Jefferson County. Acting on a tip, female officers at the prison searched
the 32-year old woman and found balloons containing black tar heroin, and two strips of
suboxone hidden in her body. She was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on possession
charges. A second woman with her was questioned and released.
