Saturday night the Coast Guard and Texas Task Force Swift Water Rescue rescued four people in a boat on the Neches upstream from Riverfront Park who had run out of gas. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says the Neches River is still a danger for boaters with a swift and turbulent current and people should not venture onto it.
