Beaumont police have a 70-year old woman in custody who is accused of shooting her 58-year
old boyfriend in the chest yesterday afternoon on Eastex Freeway yesterday afternoon, then
pushing him from her moving vehicle. Larry Atwood was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth
Hospital in Beaumont where he later died. Elizabeth Taylor was taken into custody and
transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
