Busy Weekend For Beaumont Firefighters

It has been a busy two days for Beaumont firefighters. Early this morning, they responded to a

house fire in the 4200 block of Congress in south Beaumont. The fire caused extensive damage.

The America Red Cross is assisting two adults and two children displaced by the fire. There

were no injuries. Just past 2:00 yesterday morning, firefighters responded to a fire at the Craxy

Cajun restaurant in the 2300 of North 11th. The fire, believed be an electrical issues, was

contained to the patio area. Just by 5:00 this morning, firefighters were called to a house fire in

the 9400 block of Riggs. Firefighters rescued a 74-year old man, who was airlifted to UTMB in

Galveston, where he was treated for smoke inhalation.
