An Orange County jury has sentenced a man that pleaded guilty in connection to the
kidnapping of a Bridge City attorney to 60 years in prison. 20-year old German Borjas-Benitez
is one of three men that forced Jim Sharon Bearden from his Bridge City home, drove him to
an ATM in Port Arthur forcing him to withdraw money. Benitez was also fined $10,000. The
other two defendants are awaiting trial.
