A Kountze man faces either death by lethal injection or life in prison following his capital
murder conviction. The punishment phase in the trial of 40-year old Jason Wade Delacerda
begins this morning at the Hardin County Courthouse. Delacerda was convicted of capital
murder for the 2011death of 4-year old Breonna Nichole Loftin, the daughter of his
girlfriend. The girl’s mother, Amanda Guidry, is also charged in Breonna’s death. A trial
date for her has not been set.
