Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrests

A routine traffic stop yesterday in Jefferson County ended with two people going to jail on

drug charges. Deputies pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation on I-10 east at FM 365.

A K-9 unit was brought to the scene after deputies were denied consent to search the SUV.

The K-9 alerted deputies and a kilo block of cocaine was located in the glove box. Sean

Joseph and Latoya Williams were both arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.

The DEA will be filling the charges for possession of cocaine in federal court.
