A one vehicle wreck in Jasper County has claimed the life of a San Augustine woman. The
DPS reports 89-year old Mamie Bradford was a passenger in a car that was traveling north
on Highway 96 yesterday afternoon when the driver lost control causing the vehicle to roll over.
Bradford was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the
car, 52-year old Linda Bradford of San Augustine, has been transported to a Houston hospital.
Wet roads was a factor in the fatality.
