A standoff that lasted more than 10 hours in Beaumont is over. The suspect locked himself
in a home with two children on Landis Drive in the Amelia area. Beaumont SWAT surrounded
the house and negotiated with the suspect. They were able to get him to come outside around
11:00 last night at which time he was taken into custody. The children were not hurt.
