Testimony is scheduled to begin this morning in the trial of a 71-year old Lumberton woman
accused of shooting her common law husband and pushing his body out of a moving vehicle
on Eastex Freeway in Beaumont and leaving the scene. Elizabeth Taylor is claiming self-defense
in the death of 58-year old Larry Atwood in October of last year. If convicted, Taylor faces five
years to life in prison.
