South Hampton Resources, a Hardin County refinery, has announced a reduction of 20%
of its workforce. That has led to 40 layoffs. The refinery is located on FM 418 near Silsbee.
The layoffs are being called employee reorganizations. South Hampton Resources is an
preferred specialty product supplier.
