ExxonMobil has reached a final investment on a new unit at its Beaumont refinery that
will increase crude refining by more than 65%, which is around 250,000 barrels per day.
Startup of the new unit is anticipated by 2022 and will create more than 1,800 construction
jobs and once completed, up to 60 permanent jobs. The expansion will enhance the refinery’s
competitive position and establish it as a leader in the U.S. refining industry.
