A packed crowd at the Port Neches City Hall voiced their opinions last night about the
possibility of next year’s Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas being moved to their community.
Many residents spoke against next year’s event taking place in Port Neches. Organizers
of the event are looking to move the event from Port Arthur due to declining revenues and
attendance. Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas has been in Port Arthur for the past 28 years.
