Beaumont police have released the name of a homicide victim. 17-year old Reginald Royce
Coleman, of Beaumont, was shot multiple times Monday night near the Sterling Pruitt pool
building in the 2800 block of Gulf Street. Coleman, a person of interest in several recent
aggravated robberies in the area, was still in possession of money and drugs. Robbery is not
believed to have been a motive. Detectives attempted to interview numerous witnesses, who
laughed and refused to cooperate. Police are asking anyone with any information to call
Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at 833-TIPS.
