A $150,000 bond has been set on a Groves man accused in a Hardin County shooting. 36-
year old Rex Allen Prewitt is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for
Monday night’s shooting on Highway 105 near Sour Lake. The victim, 35-year old Christopher
Cassity, of Sour Lake, is expected to recover from a gunshot wound to the jaw. Deputies believe
alcohol played a significant role in an argument that led to the shooting.
