Jefferson County Indictments

A woman accused of using a PTA credit card for personal use has been indicted by the

Jefferson County grand jury. 39-year old Tiffany Cheree Hopkins, the former treasurer

of the Amelia Elementary PTA is charged with felony theft. Investigators say she used

the credit card to purchase items such as a laptop, baby bed, and groceries. The purchases

were made in September and November of 2018. Hopkins, who was arrested, is free after

posting bond.

The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for aggravated sexual assault of

a child. 19-year old Kameron Grigsby is accused of the assault of a 4-year old girl. The victim,

from Colorado, was staying with her grandparents in the 3300 block of Cherry Street in

Beaumont. The alleged incident occurred in July of 2018.

An 18-year old has been indicted for aggravated robbery. The Jefferson County grand jury

indicted Tyrone Mattox, of Beaumont, for the November 24th robbery of a convenience store

on Washington Blvd in Beaumont. Fourmen entered the store and took cash drawers from

the register at gunpoint. Following a pursuit, Mattox was taken into custody after the fleeing

vehicle crashed into a ditch.
