The Hardin County Health Department, working in coordination with the Texas Division of
Emergency Management, offered COVID-19 testing to all residents and staff of the nursing
homes located in Hardin and Orange Counties in order to comply with the governor’s directive
for this testing. County Judge Wayne McDaniel reports three facilities in Hardin County
accepted the assistance and approximately 500 residents and staff were tested. All those tests
came back negative.
