The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a 54-year old Beaumont man for murder. Ronald
Laverne Crawford is charged with the March 31st stabbing death of 26-year old Grady Aaron
Rothkam, of Beaumont. The stabbing occurred in the 9300 block of Riggs.
A Port Arthur man has been indicted for a murder that occurred last year. 27-year old Jayled
Lott is accused of the July shooting death of Joel Lopez Martinez during a robbery in the 3200
block of 18th Street in Port Arthur. A witness provided information to police that connected
Lott to the homicide. Information that had not been released to the media or public.
