Silsbee police believe drugs may have been the motive in a shooting that left one dead and one
injured. The shooting occurred in the early morning hours yesterday at the Buzzy Bee
convenience store on Highway 96 south. The body of 19-year old Jeremiah Grant was located in
the road on MLK and Pine Street. The second shooting victim was transported to Christus St.
Elizabeth Hospital. The shooting remains under investigation.
