Texas Continues To Add Jobs

(Austin, TX) -- The state of Texas is continuing to add jobs as the employment rate dropped again in May. Texas added more than 26-thousand jobs last month. The unemployment rate dropped to six-point-five-percent from six-point-seven-percent. A new forecast suggests Texas will add over half a million jobs this year. So far, the state has added just over 200-thousand jobs through the end of May.
