The number of COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Jefferson County is on the decrease. As of
yesterday, 72 were hospitalized. Only three of them are vaccinated. Vaccination numbers in the
county continue to grow. 59.4% have received the first dose and 50.7% are fully vaccinated.
Over 3,000 residents have received the booster. The Beaumont Public Health Department reports
one COVID-19 death from yesterday, a 78-year old man with underlying health issues. 29 new
positive cases were reported in Beaumont yesterday.
