An off duty Vidor police officer is with charged aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-family
violence and DWI. Beaumont police were called to a home in the 9100 of Chicory yesterday
about a man threatening a family member with a weapon. The suspect left the scene and was
pulled over near Major Drive and Highway 105 in his unmarked Vidor police unit. 62-year old
Michael Shaw was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Correctional
Facility.
