Gas prices are soaring. Triple A Texas reports this morning’s average price in the Beaumont/
Port Arthur area is $3.92 a gallon, which is up 15 cents from last week. A year ago the average
price was $2.59 a gallon. The statewide average jumped 12 cents over the past week to $3.94 a
gallon. The national average is up 12 cents to $4.27 a gallon.
