A man was shot and killed by Port Neches police yesterday morning. The suspect attempted to
evade officers in the 2100 block of Merriam and crashed his vehicle into the patrol unit. He
exited his vehicle with a gun and officers were forced to shoot him. 21-year old Trevon Hill, of
Port Arthur, was pronounced dead at the scene. The officers have been placed on administrative
leave, which is normal procedure. The Texas Rangers are heading up the investigation.
