An Orange County man has been sentenced to two 20 year prison sentences after pleading guilty
to two counts of intoxication manslaughter. On June 13th 2020, 26-year old Jerred Lee Watkins
struck and killed Robert Jackson as he was riding his bike on Ferry Drive in Bridge City. A short
time later he was involved in a collision on FM 1442 killing 23-year old Jillian Blanchard.
Watkins entered the pleas just as he was set to go on trial for the death of Jackson.
