Checking results of some of the Southeast Texas races, Jeff Branick won reelection for
County Judge in Jefferson County defeating Carolyn Leblanc Guidry 56% to 44%, Gordon
Freisz will become judge in the 317th District Court in Jefferson County, Cary Erickson will
be Precinct Two county commissioner in Jefferson County, Christian “Manuel” Hayes picked
up 56% of the vote to defeat Jacorian Randle for State Representative in District 22. That seat
was held by Joe Deshotel, who did not seek reelection after more than 20 years in office.
In Tyler County, it looks like Milton Powers will win county judge.
