An electrician convicted of defrauding the Beaumont Independent School District out of
more than $1 million for work he did not do, will start serving his jail sentence today.
Calvin Walker must spend the next 90 weekends in the Jefferson County Correctional
Facility. He will report at 6:00 pm on Fridays and be released at 6:00 am on Mondays.
He is also on 10 years probation and must pay restitution.
