A former opponent of Rep. Randy Weber is accused of making threats to kill him. Keith Douglas Casey is charged with making threats against Weber. According to the federal criminal complaint there is probable cause to believe that he threated a United States official. Casey has run several times in the primaries to unseat Weber from office, losing by wide margins in 2022, 2018, and 2016. Casey said Governor Greg Abbott and Weber stole the election from him.
