The body of a 17-year old was recovered from the LNVA Canal Saturday after he jumped from a levee
Friday night. Once he jumped into the canal, behind the West End Lodge Apartments, he began waving
his arms yelling he could not swim. Efforts to save him failed. Police were initially called to the scene in
reference of a disturbance.
