A murder trial is underway in Jefferson County. 21-year old Christopher D’Sean Mitchell, of Port
Arthur, is charged with the October 2020 shooting death of 24-year old Christopher Sellers, of
Beaumont. Sellers and another man were walking on Park Street in Beaumont when they were
shot. Sellers died at the scene. Mitchell faces up to 99 years in prison if he is convicted.
