Kountze police have released additional information on a fatality. 61-year old Edward Joseph Farkas,
a Polk County resident, was hit by a vehicle Monday morning in the 1200 block of Highway 69 South.
Farkas’ dog got loose from the cab of his 18-wheeler and ran onto the highway. Farkas was struck by
a vehicle chasing his dog. Farkas was pronounced dead at the scene.
