Gas prices continue to drop. The average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is $3.02 a gallon, which
is down nine cents from last week. A year ago on the 20th of October we were paying $3.25 a gallon. This
morning’s statewide average is down eight cents to $3.03. The national average is $3.55 a gallon. These
averages are from Triple A Texas.
