The seven league games along with the Cardinals’ previously announced five non-conference contests will give LU a 12-game schedule which officially kicks off Saturday, Aug. 31st at Texas State.
Lamar’s conference home opener will be Saturday, Oct. 12 against Houston Christian. The 2024 schedule will also include home dates against Southeastern Louisiana (Oct. 26) and Nicholls (Nov. 16). The annual Battle of the Border rivalry game will take place this year in Lake Charles, La. (Nov. 23).
In addition to the game at Texas State, the Cardinals’ 2024 non-conference slate will include Mississippi Valley State (Sept. 7), Weber State (Sept. 14), Texas Southern (Nov. 21) and at Central Arkansas (Sept. 28).
All LU home games will be played at Provost Umphrey Stadium. Game times for the 2024 season have not yet been set.
