Tex-Dot is lowering speed limits on area roadways. Beginning Monday, the speed limit on I-10 in Orange
County from the Old Highway 90 exit to just west of the Rose City exit will be lowered from 75 mph to
70 mph. In Jefferson County, beginning Monday the speed limit on Highway 347 from Highway 69 to the
Dupont plant will be lowered from 70 mph to 65 mph. On Tuesday, the speed limit on Highway 69 from
the 347 split to Highway 73 will be lowered from 75 mph to 70 mph.
