Beaumont Man Pleads Guilty In Federal Court

A Beaumont man faces more than two decades in federal prison after pleading guilty to robbery and

firearm charges. In April and May of last year, 21-year old Brandon Tyrone Mayberry and David James

Leatherwood robbed several businesses in and around the Beaumont area at gunpoint, including

two Game X Change Stores, a Shell gas station, and Express Mart, and Cindie’s Lingerie store. Mayberry,

who pleaded guilty yesterday, faces 20 years for the armed robberies and seven years for possessing the

firearm.
