After more than a week of searching the Sabine River near Bon Weir, authorities have recovered the
body of 83-year old Virginia Alvis Perkins. On February 14th a passing motorist saw her jump of the
Highway 190 bridge. Her abandoned vehicle was found nearby. Her body was found yesterday
afternoon.
