A man in La Crescenta, California who was texting and walking found himself face to face with a 400-pound black bear on Tuesday morning (April 10th). The bear wandered into Vaz Terdandenyan's front yard as he was texting his boss to say he'd be late to work. Terdandenyan said, "I was walking down the stairs, and I looked up and saw the bear coming up the stairs towards me. So I turned back and ran for my life." Fish and game authorities were already onto the bear and observing it from a helicopter. Wildlife officials tranquilized the bear with four darts and took it to the Angeles National Forest.
