If you didn’t watch “Meet the Press” yesterday (Sunday 9/16) le me enlighten you. David Gregory interviewed Susan Rice, our ambassador to the UN as to whether or not the Iranians are close to developing a Nuclear weapon. It’s obvious Ms. Rice probably has difficulty at a traffic signal pondering whether or not she should stop on red or go on green. Gregory threw her every softball question possible regarding the time frame on whether Iran can “nuke” or not. Yet, when interrogating (and yes that’s the right word) Benjamin Netanyahu he refused to let up after BY insisted Iran is closer to being a threat than any of us could imagine. The “red line” he referred to is much like the one’s in the sand we drew as kids, challenging an adversary to “cross the line” if they wanted to fight. This is a far cry from those days. Iran means business and so does BY. It’s not a case of who blinks first but Ms Rice would do well to stay as far away from the UN as possible even though it’s her job. We have no friends there and haven’t had with the exception of England and the Israelis.
