I am writing this hours ahead of what I hope will be an election that will be determined by the time we all wake up tomorrow. I know deep down, there will be dissatisfaction no matter which way it goes. We are a polarized nation and that is putting it mildly. I hope both candidates are gracious enough to congratulate the other and may the winner work to put hands across the aisle and work for compromise. We can no longer do what we have been doing and remain the great nation we are. The time for calling names and making hate speeches needs to be put aside. Neither party likes the other and that is not going to change, but watching NFL players at games end, shaking hands and patting one another on the back tells me we can do this at a much higher stakes game. A game that will determine not only who wins, but who exists. We see in the last days that our infrastructure everywhere is in dire need of replacement or repair. We see invisible jobs and an economy that needs fixing. Whether we are Texas or Tennessee, South Carolina or South Dakota, New Jersey or New Mexico ….we are the United…I said United States of America. Let’s start acting like it. God Bless America.!!
