Make no mistake. I am very glad I was not aboard the TRIUMPH this past weekend. No one loves misery and it’s bad enough when you

Get whacked with a hurricane and have to do without the amenities you take for granted.

But when you pay for the misery, it’s even worse. Folks who thought they were going on a vacation only find out it was a nightmare.

That’s a different story. I am sure there will be lawsuits galore and one has come to expect that. I find it more realistic to find someone

Who kissed the ground upon arriving in Mobile. That’s someone who appreciates life.  It can happen aboard ship, in an airplane, on a train.

It can happen on the highway. You could get run over crossing the street on your way to buy groceries. What’s at stake here now is what the cruise lines

Can do to prevent future problems. Will the cruise lines suffer a decline in business? Probably not. Will many of us cruise again in the near future?

Probably. One thing is for sure. None of those on the TRIUMPH endured what our troops go through daily in Afghanistan.
